Located on the first floor in the main part of the hotel, the Whitwell Suite is accessed by the timber staircase procured by Thomas Whitwell in 1630 and which Mary Queen of Scots reputedly descended to her execution at Fotheringhay Castle.
The room retains original features including its 16th and 17th century oak panelling and stone fireplaces.
